Profusely illustrated with photographs by the Istituto Luce and illustrations by Gigi (Luigi Del Giudice). Publisher's beige cloth with spine made from copper tubes that mimic the fascist fasces and with an onlaid metal axe on the front cover. Limited edition: the present copy is no. 1130. A very good copy.

One of the most striking photobooks and one of the most beautiful propaganda ‘object' books ever produced by a regime for self-celebration. The book illustrates the Italian conquests in East Africa in the 1930s.
